Fast CAT
FRIDAY – SUNDAY, May 1-3

The Fast CAT Trials will be held Friday through Sunday May 1-3 at the Kominek Farm, Limestone, TN.
Lure Equipment: Battery-powered or gas-powered continuous loop equipment will be used. Lures consist of plastic bags. Electronic timing system will be used, with manual timing as a backup if needed. The course will be on a natural (grass) surface.
The Fast CAT running lane will be enclosed with temporary fencing, including the catch pen which will be at least 50 yards long. It is strongly recommended that prior to running your dog, you have good “recall” control, as the dogs will be off leash.

Fun Run (practice run) $10
A $1 convenience fee is added to all online entries. This fee is non-refundable. If paying by check, make payable to: Salty Dogs Coursing.
AKC Junior Handlers can receive a $5 discount per run. Please email the trial secretary.
Fast CAT will be divided into one-hour time blocks with concurrent tests. Salty Dogs Coursing will do their best to accommodate requests, but preferred time blocks are not guaranteed. Workers/volunteers may run their dogs prior to the first morning block, or their dogs may be added in during the day.
CAT will utilize a “rolling roll call” (first come, first served).

An event like this needs volunteers to help! If you can draw blood samples or implant microchips, your skills are especially needed! If not, we can still use your help with paperwork, holding dogs, and general crowd control. Sign up for a few hours, or for the entire clinic. Come, have some fun, and feel great about helping to promote health testing in our breed! We try to make it a fun and rewarding experience for everyone. Deposit will be put toward the total rental fee. Deposit is refundable with a cancellation before April 1, 2026. No refunds for cancellations after April 1. Remainder of rental fee is due (cash or check) on April 30, 2026. The supplier can bring a maximum of 8 mounted distance horses & 1 CCC cart/horse. CCC entries do not need to send a deposit. Please be very honest about your riding experience when you reserve your horse. You owe it to your dog, your horse & yourself to secure a suitable mount.
Distance Exhibitors needing to rent a driver & carriage for the distance carriage classes (RDC, RDXC) must make their own individual arrangements.
To board horses, contact Susan @ 423-360-5524, The barn is a mile away from trial site, 934 Knob Park Road, Bristol, TN 37620. She has 6 stalls available. Cost is $25/night, self-care, bring shavings, water and food pans, hay and feed. Make your reservations by April 1 to assure availability before entering. NOTE: Horses brought onto Magna Vista Farm must have a current negative Coggins test less than 6 months (on date of arrival to stables) & health Certificate less than 20 days old (on date of arrival to stables). No Exceptions.
