Legislative Liaison
The Dalmatian Club of America Legislative Liaison Committee provides updates on important legislative activity across the country and promotes the protection of responsible dog owners.

Numerous organizations are actively pursuing legislation to restrict the rights of dog owners. By presenting a unified purpose, we can actively pursue positive legislation to support and assist responsible breeders and dog owners.
Two organizations are working in partnership with dog owners.
- American Kennel Club (AKC) – In addition to the regular functions of the AKC, the AKC has a legislative team working to support candidates who defend dog owners’ rights and effectively influence legislation for all animal owners.
- National Animal Interest Alliance (NAIA) – The NAIA conducts research to create and communicate issues, raise public awareness and make evidence-based arguments necessary to counter opposition.
Voluntary contributions are needed to help these organizations. The links below will lead you to the donation pages specific for these organizations.
AKC PAC (Non-Partisan) -This site is for voluntary donations to the AKC Political Action Committee. Please make sure you select the “Dalmatian Club of America” for club affiliation.
NAIA Trust – National Animal Interest Alliance Trust – This is the legislative arm of the NAIA.
Beyond donations, there are many ways to get involved. We encourage everyone to take an active role in sustaining dog and animal ownership.
- Talk to your local representatives. Ensure they align and support responsible dog ownership.
- Become familiar with legislation being proposed in your state. Use these resources to see what’s going on.
- Become a NAIA member.
