Each dam and sire combination must have a separate nomination and fee paid. You will need to follow the AKC requirements to establish the sire for each of the pups before you register the pups and nominate individual pups for the Futurity.
A valid nomination requires 2 two things; complete information in all the fields of the nomination form, and a payment submitted before the bitch whelps for a litter or the pup reaches four months for individual puppies.
A litter nomination must be postmarked by the USPS, or received on line, before the whelp date. A puppy nomination must be postmarked, or received on-line, on or before the 4 four-month birth date. The postmark or date submitted on line establishes the date of nomination.
You will receive an email when the nomination is recorded, usually within 3 three days of on-line submission. Nominations that are done on line but using a check for payment will be recorded when the check is received by the Futurity Chair.
Yes, do not wait if it will push you past the pups four-month birthday. Use a place holder name and AKC number when you nominate. However, you must provide the chairman the correct name and number before the list of nominated puppies is sent to the superintendent; a minimum of 30 days before closing of entries.
