Governor’s Trophy
At the April, 1999 Meeting, the Dalmatian Club of America Board of Governors approved two new trophies for competition among Regional Clubs – the Governors Trophy for Club Companion and Performance Competition, and the Governors Trophy for Club Conformation Competition. For each of these, the winners will be the Regional Club whose members’ Dals earn the most points, according to a defined scale.
The trophies will be awarded at the annual dinner to the clubs who have earned the most points. The trophies will be engraved with the clubs’ names prior to awarding the next year’s winner. The trophies will remain in the possession of DCA until the engraving area is filled. At that point, each trophy will be awarded permanently to the club who has won it the most years.
Rules
Each competitor must be a member of record to the club they represent. Each competitor can only compete for one club, and must declare the club they are representing prior to the start of competition. It is the responsibility of each winner to report their wins to the individual designated to keep score. Points will be awarded for class placements according to the following point schedule below.
