The James W Smith Memorial Health Clinics are offered annually at our National Specialty. The Dalmatian Club of America Foundation (DCAF) subsidizes the costs of these health clinics by paying all shipping fees, OFA fees and in some cases portions of the veterinarian fees. The clinics offer a convenient and economical way to complete some of the health tests required for CHIC numbers.
Tests offered this year:
Thyroid Panel – $80
OFA Eye Exam – $40
Microchip – $25
OFA CHIC DNA Repository blood draws are FREE! All Dalmatians regardless of whether they will be bred are strongly urged to be included! The clinics offer a great opportunity for owners/breeders to update health histories for dogs already in the DNA Repository.
We honor the memory of James W Smith, a lifelong Dalmatian lover, a generous contributor to DCAF, and a champion of good health and health testing for our breed.

The “Draw Meeting” for the Top 20 Qualifiers and Past Winners will be held one hour after the conformation judging is completed. The Meeting will be held in the Expo Center, and, as a reminder, an announcement will be made during the judging on that day. This is a mandatory meeting for Qualifiers and Past Winners to attend. If a Qualifier or a Past Winner or a representative for either does not attend this meeting, unfortunately, the Qualifier and/or the Past Winner will not be able to compete at the Top 20 Event.
After this meeting, a Qualifier can practice while his chosen music is being played.
THURSDAY, May 7
Join the Top 20 Qualifiers and Past Winners for a formal evening viewing our Top 20 Qualifiers and celebrating Top 20’s Twenty-fifth Anniversary. Enjoy a cash bar and hor d’oeuvres of the Expo Center. The evening begins with the Top 20 Qualifiers “hands-on” judging in a separate room from the viewing public. After which, the Top 20 Qualifiers will be presented to the audience one at a time. Each person in attendance will have a chance to vote for their favorite Qualifier for the Peoples’ Choice Award, which is presented that evening. The winner of the Top 20 will be announced at the banquet on May 8, 2020.
All Tracking entries will be refunded automatically since these events were cancelled.
