DCA Reserved Crating Space

We will have reserved crating inside the main building next to the ring. We are offering several different sizes to fit what you need. There will be electrical cord drops. Not everyone will get to be plugged in all the time. Please share.

We will also have a tent outside for overflow crating if needed. The tent will not be heated or have electricity. There will be a limited amount of free day crating in the tent. All day crates must be removed each day after judging is completed.

We do have a few rules to live by for the reserved crating.
1. Your grooming area must be kept clean. All chalk etc must be swept clean every day.
2. Excessive barking will not be tolerated. Crating is next to the ring, and it is not fair for barking dogs to interrupt judging or the dogs in the ring. Excessive barking dogs will be asked to be removed. 3 strikes and you’re out.

Setup can start Friday May 5th at 4PM

We would like you to have fun! So, there will be prizes for the Cleanest set-up, the Best Decorated set-up and best Theme – Northwest Adventure set-up.

Space size will be reserved in the order the reservation is received. We will contact you if the size you want is not available so you can decide what other size you want. Reservations close April 15, 2023.

Inside:
10 x 15 $75
5 x 15 $40
10 x 10 $55
10 x 5 $35
8 x 5 $30

FastCAT

Attention Dalmatian Fast CAT exhibitors!
1. You should have received a confirmation when you entered. If you did not check your spam folder & if it is missing reach out to the Trial Secretary. whitewingz@aol.com
2. Check in starts at 7:45 AM. You MUST check in by 10 AM for AM tests and 3 PM for PM tests. You can check in for your PM run in the morning after you run your AM run or if you know you have a conflict during the afternoon check in time. You do not have to bring your dog or have it inspected, **but you must check in**. You can also have someone else check you in, but it must be someone you can trust to follow through. Dogs not checked in by the Check-In time will lose their runs. Dogs will be inspected when they are ready to run.
3. There is no assigned running order, it is first come first serve. HOWEVER, for Dalmatians with conflicts, we will get you moved up in the running order to accommodate. If you have 30 minutes between events, come to the field by 11:30 or after 1:00 PM and we will get your run in.
4. Lunch break for the Fast CAT team is from 12-1 PM.There will be no check in or runs at this time. No dogs will be added to the morning run order after 11:30.

Jerri Gillean is the Fast CAT chair. If you need help checking in because of ring conflicts, she will get you checked in, but you MUST let her know before the event. TEXT ONLY 503-332-0224. If you did not get a confirmation text back, she did not get your message.
We will do everything in our power to accommodate conflicts and there is lots of flexibility on when to run your dog, so PLEASE do your agility runs, barn hunt, scentwork, rally, obedience & conformation first-don’t miss those time sensitive events.
We will also have 10 day of entries for each test for Dalmatians only. They will be released at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM respectively to all breed, so come on by during the check in window if you want to add a run.

We look forward to fast times and lots of new titles! If you have any questions, please contact Jerri, she is happy to assist. If you are new to the sport, reach out to Jerri and she will try to meet you for your first runs & get you settled.

DCAF is pleased to offer the James W Smith Memorial Health Clinics at the 2023 DCA National Specialty. OFA fees, shipping expenses and part of the testing costs are underwritten by DCAF, making this a great opportunity to update your health testing at an unbeatable price! Please support the clinics with your participation and/or volunteer time.

Tests offered (all OFA fees included)

  • OFA Thyroid profile, $90 (ONLY Dalmatians)
  • Microchip, $25
  • OFA Eye Examination $35 (this will be an All-Breed clinic, non-Dalmatians will also pay their OFA fees)

The deadline for pre-registration is April 15.

An event like this needs volunteers to help! If you can draw blood samples or implant microchips, your skills are especially needed! If not, we can still use your help with paperwork, holding dogs, and general crowd control. Sign up for a few hours, or for the entire clinic. Come, have some fun, and feel great about helping to promote health testing in our breed! We try to make it a fun and rewarding experience for everyone.
